Police public meeting held in MR Gunj & Zadibal Police Stations | KNO

Srinagar, January 25 (KNO) : A PCPG meeting was held with the Masjid and Mohalla committee members of various habitations (Mohallas) of Police Station MR Gunj jurisdiction. Various issues with regard to the welfare of society were discussed in the meeting which included: 1. Problems faced by public due to frequent hartal calls and stone pelting incidents 2. Drug peddling and drug addiction 3. Frequent power cuts 4. Suicide attempts on various bridges in downtown area 5. Food contamination and market related problems 6. Problems created by tenants 7. Domestic violence and 8. Public nuisances Participants insisted that steps should be taken to curb all the menaces. They hailed the recent NDPS contraband recoveries, crackdown against gamblers, removal of public nuisances, checking of weights and measures and polythene drive by MR Gunj Police. More counseling sessions for youths were demanded by the participants. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks.(KNO) Srinagar, January 25 (KNO) : A PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) meeting was held at Police Station Zadibal. The meeting was chaired by SHO Zadibal Shri Shanawaz Ahmad and was attended by large number of respectable citizens of area including civil society members. The participants highlighted various issues of public importance and other issues relevant to police & civil administration. Participants assured their full support & cooperation in fighting against the social crimes. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, SHO Zadibal assured them that issues pertaining to Police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority.(KNO)
